Elizabeth teaches her students so much more than just piano. She mentors them in life, developing effective problem-solving strategies, encouraging perseverance, helping them connect the dots between music and everything else they are learning about, ...allowing them to feel more, think more, and love the process! -Matt and Elaine (parents)

Welcome to Piano Prodigies!

Piano Prodigies offers outstanding musical instruction in a creative, encouraging, and dynamic setting. In addition to weekly private lessons, students participate in frequent community performances and workshops. This comprehensive and inter-disciplinary curriculum is a vital part of the learning experience, nurturing students in becoming expressive and communicative performers.

The name of the program, "Piano Prodigies," reflects the personal philosophies of director and pianist Elizabeth Borowsky. NCTM:
  • Everyone was born with musical potential and talent.
  • Talent can be nurtured and developed through committed study under the guidance of an experienced and highly qualified teacher.
  • Students learn best when they are engaged, motivated, and inspired.

Lessons

Weekly lessons take place in Lebanon, New Hampshire (or online). Tuition includes participation in studio and community recitals, workshops and masterclasses during the school year. Summer lessons are encouraged but can be customized to work with your schedule.

Piano Prodigies "headquarters" is located in New Hampshire's Upper Valley (03766), close to Lebanon and Hanover, as well as to Vermont's White River Junction and Norwich. Just over an hour from Manchester, NH and 2 hours to Boston.  Online lessons and consultations are available.

Facilities: In the studio, students enjoy playing two outstanding, top-of-the line pianos: a Steinway concert piano (Model: B) and a  52" Seiler upright. Having two acoustic piano also allows for performances of duets, and learning to adjust to instruments. A fully adjustable professional performance bench accommodates all heights and encourages correct posture necessary for comfort and technique. A pedal extender is available for smaller students whose feet don’t yet reach the floor.

Levels: I enjoy teaching students of all ages and levels, but specialize in intermediate/advanced levels.
Typically, students get the most from lessons at Piano Prodigies after a minimum of three years of piano study. At this point, they are have established a basic understanding of learning music and are ready to accept detailed feedback on their technique and artistry.

What Our Clients Are Saying

I can honestly give Elizabeth the credit for keeping my girls interested in piano lessons. All parents know about those transitional periods kids go through from Elementary school into the Middle school and High school years. Interests shift unless the lesson/subject is fresh. I find this applies to adults, too! Elizabeth grew up on the piano. She has the training, talent, expertise and passion to properly teach students. I have personally watched her develop her teaching skills. Her amazing personality keeps students focused, interested and learning. She's fun, loving, adorable and all around fantastic at what she does and who she is. - Lisa
