Tips for success:
  • Repetition: I practice 700-1000 free throws a day
  • Consistency: "In other words, it's an every-day-thing. You have a program, and a schedule, and you have to abide by that, religiously. You just stick to it, and it's the consistency that pays off."
  • Self-critique and goal-setting: At the end of the season, I look back an go over my progress, and how I've evolved as a player. I go into the summer with a plan, exactly what I need to work on.
  • Everyting negative - pressure, challenges - is all an opportunity for me to rise.
  • My parents are my backbone. Still are. They're the only group that will support you if you score zero or you score 40.
  • If you're afraid to fail, then you're probably going to fail.

I love this. I didn't realize he was a performance psychologist! Seriously, though, these principles work no matter what your area of performance. A public speaker has to practice with the same consistency as a musician, as a pro basketball player, in order to walk into a performance situation and nail it. Well said!

What Our Clients Are Saying

I can honestly give Elizabeth the credit for keeping my girls interested in piano lessons. All parents know about those transitional periods kids go through from Elementary school into the Middle school and High school years. Interests shift unless the lesson/subject is fresh. I find this applies to adults, too! Elizabeth grew up on the piano. She has the training, talent, expertise and passion to properly teach students. I have personally watched her develop her teaching skills. Her amazing personality keeps students focused, interested and learning. She's fun, loving, adorable and all around fantastic at what she does and who she is. - Lisa
